New Trends in Kingdee Internationalization - DET one-on-one Interview: Gateway to Eurasia and Africa

On August 21st, 2024, the "Dubai Business Forum China" was successfully held in Beijing, attracting the participation of many renowned enterprises, including Kingdee, which all demonstrated a strong desire for global expansion in search of new growth opportunities. Additionally, over 40 outstanding business leaders from Dubai and representatives from key government departments attended the event, jointly explore international cooperation opportunities and promote the overseas development of Chinese enterprises.
As a special guest, Dr. Liu Yujie (Joakim), General Manager of Kingdee Singapore, represented the company at the forum and participated in an exclusive interview with Hadi Badri, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), along with their elite team, including Serene Shalan (DET Director), Ahmad Abdulla Ahmad Mohammad Al Rais (DET Senior Manager), and Sultan Belshalat (DET Senior Manager). The discussion focused on exploring new opportunities for future collaboration.

Hadi, CEO of DET stated that Dubai, with its strategic location, favorable tax regime, and world-class infrastructure, has emerged as a significant global business hub and serves as a prime gateway for Chinese enterprises to enter the markets of the Middle East, Africa, and West Asia. DET, served as the core engine for the Dubai government in driving the prosperity of commerce and tourism, it not only strives to enhance the competitiveness of traditional industries but also proactively leads the way in digital transformation. Through the implementation of strategies such as 'Smart Dubai', DET is accelerating the comprehensive digital upgrade of government services, tourism experiences, and business environments, harnessing the power of technology to propel Dubai towards becoming a globally leading hub for digital commerce and tourism. DET warmly welcomes high-tech enterprises like Kingdee to establish their business hubs in Dubai, serving as a gateway to the Middle East and connecting to Europe, Asia, and Africa, and DET is ready to offer unique policy support and assistance.
During the meeting, Dr. Liu Yujie(Joakim), General Manager of Kingdee Singapore, shared Kingdee's internationalization strategy and stated, "From the chairman and president of the group to the management of various departments, Kingdee Group attaches great importance to the internationalization strategy and has rapidly initiated various strategic measures. Dubai, with its unique geographical location, open and friendly business environment, and strong development potential, is sure to become an important bridge for Kingdee to expand into the international market. We look forward to building a closer partnership with the DET to explore a more diversified business ecosystem and promote in-depth cooperation in the fields of environmental technology, e-commerce, AI, cloud computing, big data applications, etc." Dr. Liu stressed that in the wave of digital transformation, Kingdee is committed to helping global enterprises achieve efficient management and sustainable development through innovative solutions, and stressed that Kingdee's mission is to "empower every enterprise to achieve phenomenal success". The two sides had an in-depth discussion on the possibility of future cooperation, and will jointly explore new opportunities in the era of digital economy with DET.

Ahmad Abdulla Ahmad Mohammad Al Rais, Senior Manager at DET, stated, “Dubai’s world-class infrastructure has greatly enhanced the efficiency and reliability of trade, making it an ideal destination for Chinese enterprises to explore new high-potential markets globally.
